What to Expect During Your Boudoir Session – A Behind-the-Scenes Look


When you think about booking a boudoir session, it's super normal to feel nervous, most of my clients do —especially if it’s your first time. You might be wondering, what actually happens during a boudoir session? Let’s take the mystery out of it for you. Here’s exactly what to expect when you book your boudoir session with me in the Hudson Valley.



1. Before the Session: The Vibe Check


We can chat before your session so I can get to know your style, your comfort level, and your vision. Want soft and romantic? Bold and moody? A mix of both? I’ll guide you through everything—including outfit choices, location, and how to get the most out of your experience. Sometimes clients will create a mood board and this will give me a good idea of what direction you want to go!


2. When You Arrive


The vibe is cozy, calm, and judgment-free. If you’ve opted for makeup, you’ll start with a little pampering (always recommended—it makes such a difference in how you feel during your session and usually more relaxed). If you are getting it done here, we’ll chat while you get ready, or I'll see you after my MUA to go over your outfit selections, and ease into the flow.


3. During Your Session


I literally show you and walk you through every single pose—no modeling experience needed. I show you exactly where to place your hands, how to angle your body, and how to breathe to create natural, beautiful movement. Expect a mix of flattering poses, close-up detail shots, and powerful full-body images. Remember, I am right there with you to help at any point! I also show you your images as we go so if there is anything you don't like, we can change it AND you get an exclusive look at your images. This always seems to hype my girls up!


You might start out a little nervous (which is totally normal), but by the end? You’ll feel like a damn goddess.


4. After Your Session


Afterward session, I’ll carefully edit your images and deliver in a pin and passcode protected online gallery. From there, you can create your gift for yourself or special someone! I make recommendations for my clients always since I do not personally offer albums.
